Eros Entertainment has announced that they will bring the Bollywood film 'Om Shanti Om' to Blu-ray on January 22nd, day-and-date with the DVD release. The film broke box office records in its India debut, and played to packed crowds during its limited US release. Not all specs and features have been announced at this time, but we do know that video will be 1080p. Stay tuned for more soon.
Edit: We have been contacted by Eros Entertainment, and there are no current plans to bring this title to Blu-ray at this time.

I would recommend Saawariya the other Bolly movie. It has better visuals and an even better Soundtrack. |

Plus this release is by Eros, who has the rights to 60% of Bollywood movies made. Also Sony BMG Entertainment has had awesome releases in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing 4-5 Bolly Blu Movies every month. |

This movies is not a good movie to introduce people to Bollywood but its a movie to see on Blu.i would like to see some of yash Raj films and i am sure before the year is out we will see this, also at 17.99 on Amazon thats a steel.
Dvd's of this movie will probaly be 20 to 25 in the indian speciality stores just because os the movie and the star they might proably ask like 35 to 40 for the Blu if they have it. |

Well I do buy bollywood movies but this one is one of worst movies that I've seen in recent time, This movie was hit because of festive season and hype created around it. I have seen it and it is waste of 3 hours. I'd rather wait for some decent bollywood movies to come on blu. |

Hmm.. nice to see bollywood movies releasing on Blu-Ray.. I was waiting for this to happen last year.. but I think they waited for the new year.. hope to see some good bolly titles coming on Blu-Ray... Agreed that OSO wasn't the best choice to be released on blu-ray but Sharukh fans will definitely buy it...
it's available for pre-order at www.indiaweekly.com for $15.99 (pretty decent price) |
