In September, HBO Home Entertainment will bring Bored to Death: The Complete Third Season to Blu-ray. The third and final season of author Jonathan Ames' absurdist comedy focuses on the misadventures of writer-turned-amateur private investigator Jonathan Ames (Jason Schwartzman, Rushmore) and his two best friends, comic book creator Ray Hueston (Zach Galifianakis, The Hangover) and debauched socialite George Christopher (Ted Danson, Body Heat).
From HBO's official synopsis:
"Jonathan Ames was last spotted duking it out in a dean's office, (almost) saving Super Ray from a stalker, and endorsing George's decision to resign from his glossy magazine gig. This season Jonathan will come face-to-face with 'furries,' hang with Dick Cavett (Beetlejuice), and go on the ultimate oedipal investigation."
HBO's two-disc Blu-ray set has all eight Season Two episodes in their 1.78:1 broadcast aspect ratio with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks. The discs also contain a number of special features, such as:
