Independent British distributors G2 Pictures have officially announced that they will release on Blu-ray director Jason Connery's The Philly Kid (2012), starring Wes Chatham, Devon Sawa and Sarah Butler. The film will be available for purchase online and in shops across the United Kingdom on July 9th.

The Philly Kid is an all-action beat down from legendary action producer Joel Silver (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, The Matrix) and After Dark Films, and starring Michael Jai White (Spawn, The Dark Knight) and Devon Sawa (Final Destination).
On the same night that he was crowned an NCAA wrestling champion, Dillon McCabe (Chatham) was involved in the killing of a cop and then sentenced to fifteen years of prison. Ten years later, Dillon is paroled back onto the streets of his run-down Baton Rouge neighborhood.
