First International Trailer for Taken 2

Posted June 21, 2012 01:42 PM by Josh Katz

20th Century FoxTwentieth Century Fox and Yahoo Movies have just revealed the first international trailer for Taken 2. Director Olivier Megaton's follow-up to the 2009 sleeper hit Taken, this films finds star Liam Neeson (The Grey) reprising his role as Bryan Mills, a fearsome ex-CIA operative.

In the first film, Mills had to rescue his teenage daughter Kim (Maggie Grace, Lost) from a network of European human traffickers. Taken 2 reverses that equation; associates of the criminals that Mills killed tracking his daughter now hold Mills hostage, and only Kim and Mills' former CIA partners (Leland Orser, Saving Private Ryan, Jon Gries, Napoleon Dynamite, and David Warshofsky, Unstoppable) can get him back.

Taken 2's U.S. release date is scheduled for October 5th.

I'm glad it's not just her getting kidnapped again.. if it was, that girl needs to never leave the house again.

really liked first, I'll be seeing this.

YES!!!!!!!! Taken was a surprisingly polished, yet awesomely trashy action flick. I hope this follows suit (Though I would love to see it be R-rated, it would be surprising if it wasn't PG-13).

When I first read about the sequel, I held my breath thinking they were gonna try to cash in. This looks surprisingly good though. Love the first film so I'll definitely be checking this out.

Looks decent. I'm almost certain this will be PG-13, but hopefully they also shot an R-rated version for the Blu-ray.

Taken 3: After rescuing his daughter, then his wife and daughter, he must now rescue his entire family plus grandma plus pet cat. And he's running out of time because they've all been kidnapped by cannibals.

About it being PG-13: The first one was edited to get PG-13. The international version was uncensored. We didn't get that until the blu-ray. I have a feeling it'll be the same. Usually happens with Luc Benson produced movies. Columbiana and Lockout did the same thing.

oh yes, this will be awesome! I do love Liam Neeson.

So Maggie Grace is still gonna act like a 16 year old? I thought that when one gets kidnapped, it makes one a little bit traumatized and more mature than one really is.

" I know who you are, I know what you want, and if you kill my wife and attempt to kill my daughter, I will have to unleash my lifetime of skills on you. Skills I have learned after a very long career, skills like playing a master Jedi in Star Wars Episode I and damn it Zues in Clash/Wrath of the Titans, so don't fuck with me because I'm Liam Neeson, the baddest ass kickin' actor of my time "............

Even the first 20 seconds of this trailer made me cringe, because they overuse that "russian" guy, but the rest of the trailer looks awesome!

Liam Neeson can do no wrong - gotta love him. I can't believe the biggest action star right now is sixty years old and still kicking major ass.

The plot of the verbage above says that Bryan Mills has been kidnapped but the preview doesnt show him as a hostage, nevertheless looks awesome!

They better not release it in theaters in the US with a PG-13 like they did with the first one.

Wow the trailer looks great! Love the location of Istanbul (spent 2 weeks there in 2000) and is an amazing place to visit.
