In September, Lionsgate Home Entertainment will bring Mad Monster Party to Blu-ray. This stop-motion animation favorite takes a whimsical look at the Halloween gathering between Baron Von Frankenstein (Boris Karloff, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!) and a roster of horror-movie monsters.
From Lionsgate's official synopsis:
"Baron Von Frankenstein has decided to retire as the head of the Worldwide Organization of Monsters. But first, he must inform the other monsters about his plans. How to deliver the news? How else - through a Mad Monster Party! Von Frankenstein's guests include a who's who of Halloween favorites, including the Werewolf, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, and more. But who among them is fit to be the new head of the monsters?"
Lionsgate's Blu-ray/DVD combo pack presents the feature in a 1.33:1 aspect ratio with a monaural DTS-HD Master Audio track. The disc also contains the following supplements:

I love Rankin/Bass! I haven't seen this film, but I will definitely check it out. I already have four of their Christmas specials and The Last Unicorn on Blu-ray!
