Amazon's Blu-ray Deal of the Week affects selected war dramas from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Through July 14th, Amazon is offering each Blu-ray for 53% - 63% off its standard MSRP.
The individual Blu-rays contain a wide assortment of bonus supplements, including behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews with cast and crew members, archival historical footage, and audio commentaries.
The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Caine Mutiny, Das Boot, and The Guns of Navarone are $9.49 each, while Black Hawk Down is $9.99 and Glory is $10.49.
Deals expire at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST next Sunday, July 15th.
Darth Marcus: The 2 disc version seems to have gone out of print almost immediately. I've checked nearly every store in the area and I have never seen the 2 discer. Even low traffic stores which seem to have other OOP titles. Funny that only the 1 discer was available from the beginning in the UK
Also, I've always been under the impression that the Black Hawk Down video quality was terrible. Blu-ray.com gave the PQ a 5! Was this just an early release in the blu-ray catalogue or does it really look as good as its score indicates?
Well, Black Hawk Down was a 2006 release so yea, it was an early BD release so maybe the PQ doesn't hold up so well today? I am thinking about getting it here...
I already own all of these titles. My copies of Das Boot & Bridge on the River Kwai are the more expensive Collectors Editions. If you don't already own these, I highly recommend you buy them.
