This year, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment mark James Bond's monumental golden anniversary with the release of BOND 50, the complete Bond experience showcasing all 22 classic films on Blu-ray together for the first time ever, neatly packaged into one cool, sleek collectable box-set. The collection will be available on September 24 in the United Kingdom with additional international markets to follow that week.
Set for release just prior to the theatrical premiere of SKYFALL, BOND 50 will offer a look at the latest Bond film through videoblogs shot with the cast and crew. The BOND 50 collection also provides two all-new pieces that spotlight the history of 007. "The World of Bond" takes a look at the style and attitude that is signature to Bond; pulling together the cars, the women, the villains and the music that have been a staple of these films for the past 50 years. "Being Bond" profiles the six distinguished actors that have had the honor of portraying 007.
Additional bonus content in the BOND 50 collection includes cast and crew commentaries, the behind-the-scenes making of each film, in-depth interviews with every actor that played Bond, a closer look at the exotic locations as shot on-the-set, the women of Bond, the villains of Bond, Bond's cars and gadgets, music videos and much, much more.
DISC TWENTY THREE - Bonus Material

The World of Bond takes the viewer through the best of five decades worth of classic James Bond in one thrilling montage. The World of Bond showcases the fascinating and entertaining interplay among unforgettable moments of danger, seduction, adventure and a dash of that distinguished humor that fans have cherished from the beginning up until now. Damn this is going to be a great set! Bond was such a huge part of my childhood, it's going to be a huge nostalgic trip for me this Autumn with this, Indy, E.T, etc. This is shaping up to be the best year for blu's yet!
So if I am reading this correctly, there will be no SE for Quantum of Solace? The disc in this set (and I am guessing for the individual reissue if they are doing those at the same time) is the same as the 2009 release? If so, bummer. Not the best of 007 adventures but I thought they would keep suit with the other films.
@spf781: They might do a tie-in with a QOS SE and/or CR SE when Skyfall comes out on Blu-ray. They will probably get the person who did the new Spiderman covers to do the artwork LOL
It doesn't look right. Tons of features for every movie EXCEPT the two Daniel Craig ones? I don't think so. I believe ALL of the material will be ported over from those two movies. Time will tell.
Can't wait for this, fourth time I've dipped for bond once on VHS, twice in DVD and now for this, I gave my seperate releases besides the craig films to my dad!
Why is it Die Another Day still doesn't include the music video? What is up with Warner and & MGM not bringing that video to blu-ray? Of course the other videos will probably all be in SD anyway...but still...
This press release tells us everything except what we really want to know. IS IT REGION FREE??? Why do they take so long to specify that? I've got this set on pre-order on three Amazons (Canada, US and UK) and the UK is $100 cheaper than the other two. I'd much rather go with this one since my finances are already tight. If not, I'll go with the US one since it comes with a 340 page poster book for the same price as the Canadian one (with import fees and shipping). The least appealing deal so far is my country's Amazon (Canada) at $230 with taxes and no book. Sigh. I really can't wait to know so I can cancel the other two pre-orders
That's the whole debate right there; we don't know yet. That part of Amazon's site is unreliable, however, usually when a title is Region Free, it is written at the top of the page along with the film title. Amazon UK has seen a rise in its North American customers in the last couple of years and knows that there is a market so they indicate it. It takes time for it to show up though. It would help if the frickin' studios would let everyone know up front instead of this silly waiting game. It's coming out in 2 months and 2 weeks and we still don't know. Double sigh.
This is not the complete list of features. This looks like the teaser list from two months ago they released. We still haven't gotten the proper, FULL list of features.
Who cares he says?? It's $100 cheaper to get it from the UK!!! It makes a damn big difference to me if it's region free in the UK so that I can import it. I don't roll around in money so an extra $100 off would be well appreciated.
My guess for the UK set? It wont be 100% region free. QoS will be Region B locked while the rest will be Region Free. Sort of like the Lost set from the UK where all the seasons but one of them is region free, so technically they cant sell it as Region Free. However, anyone with QoS already here in Region A land just has to swap out the dud disc then.
My thoughts exactly. But who knows also if they won't decide to lock the remaining 9 titles that aren't yet available! And about swapping the QoS disc, if that's all it would need, I'd gladly do that to save so much money
You've really got to love the fact that Tomorrow Never Dies (which is terrible) gets over 9 hours of extras while the latest gets "over" an hour. And thats made up from trailers and a music video.
Very poor treatment for the newest films. Then again they would probably feel like adverts for products in the film.
Can't believe how cheap it is however over here. I managed to get the set for under £76 from HMV when they had a 20% of all blu-rays (along with Avengers steelbook).
Makes a change unless the UK version is some kind of cut down version in terms of extras?
Wonder if that's a new Connery interview. He's been pretty avidly avoiding any Bond stuff for ages, so it would be nice to hear him speak on it some more.
I too have casino and Qos and if I have to swap out i will, my only question is whether or not the Living Daylights has the Ian Flemming 1 hr feature on it like it is on the Ultimate edition dvd?
I can't believe they do not give us the special edition of Casino Royale. But then again who cares for the Craig serial movies? QUANTUM is the first Bond movie that can't speak for itself and that has no visually stunning "Bond" scene.
