The Amazing Spider-Man Pre-orders Including LE Figurines

Amazon has posted pre-orders for Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb), including a Limited Edition 3D set "with figurines". According to the number of pre-order listings, at least 4 edition variations will be released if not more, ranging in price from $25.19 to $67.19 for the LE.
Those prices are pretty high, particularly the limited edition one. I hope they go down near release date, the figurine would be a nice thing to have. 3D version's cover art is pretty good too.
C'mon, I never pay SRP for anything. I was just pointing out that the Limited Edition price seems rather high, even if it does come with figurines. Even $9 to see this particular movie in the theater is pushing it.
I pre ordered the 2D set with the BD , DVD and Digital Copy. The 3D version I don't need the 2D version is good enough. Can't wait to see this film when it comes out on Blu-Ray.
My fingers are crossed that Best Buy will be offering a steelbook either via pre order, or on release date for this and MIB3 like the last few high profile sony releases this year have been.
Day one for me... I'll see other editions that will come along the way... maybe a steelbook or a digipack... Definitely 3D buy for me. I was skeptical, but this movie really rocks because they shook the cards to obtain a new spider experience... I love the new Cirque Du Soleil designed suit!
I was not impressed with the 3D of this film. Most of the time you didn't even notice it and the few gags were poor. The "best" gag and the end where the web is shot at the screen only goes half way. I'll get the movie for my son but I think the Spider-Man movies are among the worst of the comic to film adaptions.

Usually, if I go see a film at the theater in 3D I end up not getting the blu-ray on 3D because I wasn't impressed. If I have a 3D blu-ray, it's because it's a blind buy.
This release will have Cinavia Copy Protection on the discs, won't it?
Well, I will be buying the Sony releases from Canada because I don't support UltraViolet without iTunes Digital Copy. And the same thing with all the recent WB 3D combo packs and the 2-disc Blu-Ray+DVD combo packs because in Canada they come with a Digital Copy disc and an iTunes Digital Copy and Windows Media Player Digital Copy.
If Sony and WB would just add iTunes Digital Copy to these combo packs along with UltraViolet so we have a choice, instead of shoving UltraViolet on everyone, then buying from Canada to get a Digital Copy disc would not be necessary.
i wouldn't buy any of these copies just for the figurine, that figurine looks like one of those cake toppers that comes in those cheesy kids' birthday party kits.
I will say this. This is the ONLY movie besides Avatar that I thought the 3D enhanced the experience. I usually agree with the majority that 3D is a waste.
But if they use 3D cameras, and the movie is made right, it can under limited circumstances help. IMO of course.
That being said, I aint dropping $40 on it. Amazon needs to be at $24.99-$26.99 for me to get the 3D on release day.
