In the fall, Warner Home Entertainment and Viz Media will bring InuYasha: The Final Act, Set One to Blu-ray. This anime series draws inspiration from the last volumes of author Rumiko Takahashi's popular mangas.
From Warner's official synopsis:
"Kagome is an ordinary schoolgirl who finds her destiny linked to the half demon Inuyasha and the powerful Shikon Jewel. In their quest to restore the shattered Shikon Jewel, Inuyasha and Kagome face their ultimate enemy, the demon mastermind Naraku. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru learns the truth behind his sword Tenseiga, and Kikyo discovers a secret that could defeat Naraku. With the jewel nearly complete and in enemy hands, the race to collect the remaining shards intensifies, and an epic battle is brewing on the horizon."
Set One contains the following episodes:
"Naraku's Heart"
"Kagura's Wind"
"Meido Zangetsuha"
"Dragon-Scaled Tetsusaiga"
"The Great Holy Demon Spirit's Test"
"The End of Moryomaru"
"The Mausoleum of Mount Azusa"
"Among the Twinkling Stars"
"Sesshomaru in the Underworld"
"Flowers Drenched in Sadness"
"Kanna's Gravestone"
"Sango's Feelings, Miroku's Resolve"
Warner's two-disc Blu-ray package presents the program in its 1.78:1 broadcast ratio with still-undetermined English and Japanese (w/English subtitles) stereo audio tracks. No supplements have been listed yet.
InuYasha: The Final Act, Set One streets on November 20th.
Great to see there's SOME Inuyasha finally getting released on Blu. Any chance we're gonna get remastered Blu versions of the rest of the series or the movies, though?
Of course Warner Bros. couldn't just release this very short series as a complete set. That would make too much sense and not enough money compared to when they do release the complete set after everyone has paid for two separate sets.
