In the fall, Warner Home Entertainment and Viz Media will bring Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King to Blu-ray. This anime series draws inspiration from volumes four, five, and six of author Kentaro Miura's manga series.
From Warner's official synopsis:
"The lone mercenary Guts travels the land where a hundred-year-old war is taking place. His ferocity and ability to take down enemies attracts the attention of Griffith, the leader of a group of mercenaries called 'The Band of the Hawk.' Griffith desires Guts's power to help him achieve his goals. He succeeds in recruiting Guts by challenging and winning a duel with him. As the Band of the Hawk fight together and their bond as a unit is strengthened, Griffith and Guts' bond deepens even more. Thanks to their continued success on the battlefield, Griffith achieves the first step in fulfilling his goal: his band of mercenaries becomes a full-fledged army within the Midland Kingdom. Despite all their success, Guts begins to question his reasons for fighting for Griffith's dream. Unknown to Guts, this unyielding dream is about to bestow a horrible fate on them both."
The technical and supplementary details are still unknown for Warner's Blu-ray package.
Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King streets on November 27th.
Kind of excited for this, More Guts and Berserk is always a good thing. But, can't they just release the Whole Box of War set in Bluray, or something else. Maybe something that covers Vol 1-3?

I recommended you to read the manga or watch the old anime you won't regretted. Now for this movie I have to say... As an aspiring filmmaker and a lover of Berserk i was so disappointed with the 2012 Berserk the Egg Of The King movie that i took the 1997 TV series and edited into a 2 hours and 35 minute movie (2012 movie is only 80 minutes). The egg of the king was rushed and has no character development which ruined it...I feel like the movie has not heart and soul. This how the movie should have been http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-B8BiZ4JP0
@Emsane
I believe they are covering the series in 3 movies that are going to be a total of just over 5 hours, part 1 is 76, minutes part 2 is 100 minutes, and part 3 is 130 minutes.
@Prohog
Yea I know and so far only 3 movies have been anounced. I have a feeling that the 3rd movie will end just like the TV series and then they will wait and if they make money out of the movies then they will continue... and if not then will be stuck again.
