In the Fall, Lionsgate Home Entertainment will bring two films to Blu-ray: the whimsical fantasy Ella Enchanted and the family drama Everybody's Fine.
From Lionsgate's official synopses:
Ella Enchanted -
"On the day of her birth, Ella (Anne Hathaway, Love and Other Drugs) is given a gift by her Fairy Godmother (Vivica A. Fox, Set It Off) - the gift of obedience, which is also a curse. Under no circumstances can Ella refuse anything she is asked to do, no matter how wicked it may be. Tired of being taken advantage of, Ella, with a talking book (Jimi Mistry, RocknRolla) as her companion, leaves home to find her Fairy Godmother and return her unwanted gift. This simple errand soon turns into an amazing journey filled with ogres, giants, wicked stepsisters, elves, and the plotting of Prince Charmont's evil uncle (Cary Elwes, The Princess Bride) who wants to take over the Crown and rule the kingdom."
Everybody's Fine -
"When Frank Goode's (Robert De Niro, Meet the Parents) grown children (Drew Barrymore, Charlie's Angels, Kate Beckinsale, Serendipity, and Sam Rockwell, Iron Man 2) abruptly cancel a trip home, the recent widower sets off on a cross-country journey to reconnect with each of them. Expecting to share in the joys of their happy, successful lives, his surprise visits reveal a picture that's far from perfect."
Lionsgate's Blu-rays presents the films in their original aspect ratios - 1.85:1 for Ella Enchanted and 2.39:1 for Everybody's Fine - with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks on both discs. The individual Blu-rays also contain the following supplements:

Why not a new edition of Dead Alive to concide with The Hobbit? Heck, I bet Lionsgate could get Bad Taste and Meet The Feebles if they could make a deal with Wingnut Films.
Wow! I had no idea this movie Everybody's Fine even existed. Never heard of it. How did a De Niro movie come out without me noticing? This looks real good for a change. These last 5 or 6 years have been very lackluster for De Niro films. I'll rent it first though...
I agree about "Everybody's Fine." I thought it was outstanding. Gladly picked up on DVD when I unhappily found out there would be no Blu. Was happier yet to DVR it in HD on Showtime. I'll pick up the Blu for sure, just wish there were more features (these are the same as the DVD). Melissa Leo has a blink-&-you'll-miss-it part, and she's very good. Just an excellent little movie that nobody saw.
