Amazon's Blu-ray Deal of the Week affects the Forever Marilyn Blu-ray collection. Through September 8th, Amazon is offering the set for $41.99 (a 58% discount from its MSRP of $99.98).
Timed to mark the fiftieth anniversary of screen icon Marilyn Monroe's tragic passing, this box set contains seven of her most beloved features, five of which make their respective U.S. Blu-ray debuts through this package.
The seven-disc, region-free Blu-ray package offers each film in its original aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio tracks and a wide assortment of bonus supplements, including behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews with cast and crew members, and audio commentaries on selected features features.
This deal expires at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST next Sunday, September 9th.
I love the price, but agree with Penthouse. The packaging is surprisingly spare and disappointing for the box set. I have to say, I'll buy them one by one because I love the presentations on the individual titles. Hmmm. Could this be a new ploy by the studios to get Uber fans to buy the more expensive individual titles?
