The British Film Institute has revealed that it is planning to release on Blu-ray director Roman Polanski's Tess (1979), starring Nastassja Kinski, Peter Firth and Leigh Lawson. Exact technical specs, supplemental features and region coding status are yet to be released, but the preliminary release date set by the BFI is March 18th.
Winner of three Oscar Awards, Tess was recently restored in 4K by Pathe/Eclair Group and Le Diapason. The 4K restoration was supervised by director Roman Polanski, and presented in the Classics section of the Cannes Film Festival.
Note: French label Pathe are bringing Tess to Blu-ray on December 5th. See our listing here.
