Columbia Pictures released today a brand new poster for director Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming film Zero Dark Thirty (2012). Based on a screenplay by Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) and starring Chris Pratt, Jessica Chastain and Joel Edgerton, Zero Dark Thirty will open in select cities on December 19th.
Official synopsis: The Academy-Award winning duo of Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal re-team to immerse us in the heart-pounding, top secret world of the Black Ops unit tasked with one of the most dangerous and vital missions of modern history: the hunt for international terror leader Osama Bin Laden. The unit's recent success in killing Bin Laden makes their story one of the most fascinating, real life thrillers of all time.
I agree with Ray O. Blu. I freakin' love Jessica Chastain. She's gorgeous and unbelievably talented. I'll watch anything with her in it after Take Shelter.
I am quite aware of that fact, however, the announcement of a poster is not news. It's like that South Park episode where the kids await the trailer for the Terrance and Phillip movie. It's an ad with no substance.
This falls into my category: Must See/Must Own!
I just saw the Nat Geo "docudrama" about the same thing, it was pretty good. Interesting that it was released the Sunday before Election Day...hmmmm!
Who the hell is Jessica Chastain?? Never heard of her before this trailer. This movie does look interesting though. Never saw Hurt Locker and don't care to. Not my cup of tea. This type of film isn't usually something I'd watch, but I gotta admit, it has me intrigued. Will rent it once it's out on BD...
