Universal Studios Home Entertainment is bringing the long-awaited Battlestar Galactica spin-off film, Blood & Chrome, to Blu-ray early next year. The first of the film's ten chapters premieres this weekend on Machinima's YouTube channel, Machinima Prime, to be followed by a new chapter each week through the beginning of February, when the complete battle comes home. The upcoming Blu-ray release features an unrated cut of Blood and Chrome and streets on February 19, 2013.
The film takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the twelve colonial worlds, gifted fighter pilot William Adama (Luke Pasqualino) finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful Battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and hungry for action, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, battle-weary officer Coker Fasjovik (Ben Cotton). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle as much as Adama craves its onset.
Looks good...I hope it doesn't water down Battlestar Galactica...was probably one of the Greatest shows I have ever watched every year over and over again...still Blood & Chrome will be a blind buy and I hope theres one of those commentaries by Ron Moore. So Say We All!
I wouldn't worry, mjcavinder. The Plan already watered down BSG.
I am excited for this and this is the series that Caprica probably should have been. Too bad we may never see Blood & Chrome as a series. It's all kind of depending on how successful this film is.
I'm so frakkin' excited about this, it's not even funny!! This looks like it could be even better than the BSG series. Looks more action-packed and it looks like we'll see more Cylons. Gonna watch the first episode tonight and am pre-ordering as soon as it's on Amazon.ca
Just watched the first 2 eps and the only downside I saw was they were so short! l knew that going in of course but I just don't understand the thinking of a "syfy" channel not airing something syfy with all the rubbish they have on there now.
Seems like a winner to me. Preordered and watching not only on Youtube but in Feb. on Syfy. I hope they see all the feedback and high ratings and make a full season.
I'm so excited that we are finally getting to see this! The Blu-ray will be mine day one but I can't wait till Feb. Streaming the first 2 episodes tonight on my Roku HD!!!
