Lionsgate Films has officially announced and detailed its upcoming 3D Blu-ray release of director Pete Travis' Dredd (2012), starring Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey. The release will be available for purchase on January 8th.
The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One - a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called "Judges" who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. I was hoping for a commentary track featuring Pete Travis, Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Heady. But this is still a good list of features here's hoping for a 3D steelbook.
I was surprised at the reviews for this. It's too bad a (seemingly) really good movie tanked at the B.O. while the terribly blah "Taken 2" was cleaning up.
