The Sundance Kid (Redford) is the frontier's fastest gun. His sidekick, Butch Cassidy (Newman), is always dreaming up new ways to get rich fast. If only they could blow open a baggage car without also blowing up the money-filled safe inside... Or remember that Sundance can't swim before they escape a posse by leaping off a cliff into rushing rapids. So Butch and Sundance pack their guns, don new duds, and, with Sundance's girlfriend (Katharine Ross), head down to Bolivia. A winner of four Academy Awards (including best screenplay and best song), here is a thoroughly enjoyable blend of fact and fancy done with true affection for a bygone era and featuring the two flashiest, friendliest funniest outlaws who ever called out "hands up!"

Free to be the "woman" he never knew he could be, the disguised Daniel creates a whole new life with his entire family.

Mrs. Doubtfire?! Awesome!
Hopefully the 1080p transfer will be minted from a different print than the one on the
newly-recalled "Behind-The-Seams" edition...
the amount of Edge Enhancement made me feel like I
was watching a laserdisc trasfer from, well, 1992. (Maybe this is why it was recalled?)
Master & Commander...(I'm not holding my breath on the release date this time.)
A few titles I really wish were coming soon from Fox...
Sound of Music, King and I, Passion of the Christ,
(Star Wars...of Course), The Abyss, Cleopatra, and as for MGM....
I'd love Fiddler on the Roof and that once-delayed Princess Bride!!!!
Mrs. Doubtfire
Keep 'em coming Fox, at least these titles look good on the bonus features. |

Great Mrs Doubtfire has some of the funniest outtakes I have ever seen, I hope these are all going to be cleaned up, after Edward Scissorhands poor image quality I am very weary of old fox releases |

Great news, nice to see Fox dipping into the classic catalog with Butch Cassidy. Also nice to see them staying with DTS MA for their older films too. Now if I could get my hands on The Sound of Music, Hello Dolly and the rest of the Rodgers and Hammerstein collection, life would be even sweeter! |

Looks like I'll have to hold onto the DVD of Master & Commander, as Fox has skipped on the meatiest extras once again. Sure, this package sounds exciting in its own right, but I'm really not willing to support yet another obvious double dip.
Butch Cassidy, on the other hand, keeps most of the good extras, and I'll buy it. It'll go nicely with Warner's Bonnie & Clyde.
And, well, no interest in Mrs. Doubtfire here... |
