Welcome to the theatrical section of Blu-ray.com. The idea with this section is to close the gap between when a movie is released in theaters and on Blu-ray. The purpose is also to let you
keep a collection/history of your theatrical visits and to rate movies with a simple 1-10 score. Besides keeping your own collection of ratings and theatrical history, you can also check out
any other member's ratings and theatrical visits and see what movies that member sees and likes. On each movie entry you can also see all released Blu-ray and 3D editions for that movie.
For some reason, the “Hatchet” series continues on. Unleashed in 2007, the horror-comedy “Hatchet” failed to attract much attention during its theatrical run, building its cult appeal on home video. 2010’s “Hatchet II” trumpeted its unrated release in theaters, only to welcome few takers, once again taking to the comfort of rentals to sate its mode...
Superheroes do not get much more sincere than Superman. He’s a symbol of hope, a fantasy of justice, and a slice of Americana down to his red and blue outfit. So what happens when a lively character of pure bravery is brought to the big screen in 2013, when sour introspection, graphic violence, and doomsday action rakes in major box office bucks? T...
“This Is the End” is a rare picture that goes from being completely indescribable to being somewhat conventional. It’s a cinematic house party from star/co-writer/co-director Seth Rogen, who calls in a slew of favors and gathers his tight-knit crew of funny folk to make a scattergun comedy that touches on the apocalypse, exorcisms, estranged friend...
Fueled by an obsession with low-fi terror and how it could reinvigorate the horror anthology subgenre, 2012’s “V/H/S” misfired more than it maimed. Hobbled by artistic unevenness and a dim-witted wraparound story, the jerky, exceedingly violent endeavor didn’t seem like a natural fit for sequels. However, never underestimate the power of a cult aud...
not as amazing as I hoped it was going to be from the trailers, but still enjoyable. The best superman film for myself. very much looking forward to a sequel.
my main gripe is that I would have liked the film in a more chronological order with more of him growing up (but that's just me) also I was confused how all of a sudden he was wi...
I'm not sure what to think on this one. So many good points and so much that breaks from canon (both comic books and previous films).
I enjoyed this Krypton over how it was portrayed previously. A world dominated with crystals was too sterile. The thought of Kryptonians being raised in pods seemed too much like the Matrix. Riding that ...
This is the best review of MoS I have read, my sentiments exactly. I wrote a long review for my friends and I warned them all to stay away from the 3D and IMAX since it looks terrible and had one of the worst 3d post-conversions ever. I will see the movie again in 2d to see if it is better.
Saw "The Purge". I think "Attack of the Rotten Tomatoes" is a better movie, it was that bad. Poor script. Bad story. From a cast that I know can do better, bad acting. The movie acted like it was made by some 8 year old who fantasized some outrageous picture of what rich people would be like, what American society could become. In my opinion, it re...
Got a chance to see this last night and it was a blast! Very offensive movie, but aren't most comedies that way now? To speak about the movie would be just one big spoiler in itself, so I will just say that the movie was a great ensemble piece with very over the top moments! If you are not offended easily, go and see it right away before someone sp...
