The first half of the movie is one of the worst I've ever seen - a piece of shit. It shouldn't have been made. The second half is quite good - especially in comparsion with the first -, but does not save it. The movie is full of useless characters, events dialogs, whatever. And most of the characters seems to be a complete moron. Don't waste your t...
Jurassic Park may be a seminal blockbuster and all around thrill ride. However, that is not why it stands the test of time. Spielberg's film is a classic parable, a unique and poignant creation that displays all the traits of human drama and humanity. Richard Attenborough's and Laura Dern's unforgettable monologue about Hammond's "flea circus" is a...
Evil Dead is a remake of "The" Evil Dead, a 1981 cabin sub-genre horror film that many believe pioneered horror films. It
launched the careers of actor Bruce Campbell and writer/ director Sam Raimi. The film, which while full of cliches, proved you can
make an effective horror film with a low budget. It was Raimi's ability to do so mu...
Rise of Cobra was the worst movies ever. It's on a Jaws: The Revenge and the 90's Fantastic Four movie level of awful. Everything was so wrong with that movie and I cant see how anyone who grew up with the same G.I. Joe I grew up with could have enjoyed it. It zapped out all the fun of the franchise and characters and dumbed it down below even the ...
Honestly, there was 1 THING that could make Zetman better. The manga is probably different enough that more could have been added from the manga to this show, to make it longer than the 13 episodes we've got here. To be specific, this series IS JUST TOO SHORT!!!! I almost could have loved this. I ALMOST could have forgiven it being short, but just ...
I'm not sure how this film got a 1. Merit it isn't a masterpiece but it is far from a piece of B-grade schlock or a straight-
to-dvd miscalc. The film is populated with good actors who give good performances. Butler is not his usual terrible self
and gives a decent solid performance. Melissa Leo is put through the ringer but does excel...
This movie is TERRIBLE. I was taken to this movie without even seing a preview for it. I am ashamed that I contributed to the gross income of this film.
I cant explain how terrible this movie without giving up the "Plot" and I use that term losely! The Preview sums up what I would say but it misses out on several terrible scenes.

Of course, "Die Hard in the White House" is the title many of us will thnk when seeing it, because it's true. You could have substituted in Bruce Willis as John McLean quite easily. And I disagree with the reviewer on several points...especially with calling the dimensions of the characters as "cardboard"...they are paper-thin...
I agree. I have no idea which film the reviewer was watching, but it wasn't this one. I enjoyed the Movie from start to finish. Great action. Nobody goes to a movie like this looking for award worthy acting or story.
Bottom line is, it's a hell of a ride watching this flick. Get some Popcorn and enjoy it.
I not sure which movie the reviewer watched, but this movie is a better than average Die Hard genre film .... die hard in the white house .... in fact. The reviewer must have watched it my himself or something because the crowd that I watched the film with had a great time with it and clapped and cheered.
Such an incredible movie! I was absolutely blown away by both the visuals and the sound experience throughout the movie! I'm not a snowboarding fan whatsoever, although this is a movie that is FORSURE one of my go-to demo disc! There are several scenes that feel as though they are 3D. An incredible all-round Home Theater experience!
Well where to start. this movie and those of its type(stop motion animation) in itself is amazingly painstaking to accomplish.. So Hats off to the makers just for that... myself knowing the difficulty involved coming from production background. But other than that great task...the movie itself is kind of creepy, i wouldn't say this is for children...
First off this is a movie not specifically meant to teach those who are not familiar with Egypt facts and
foundings. But what this movie does do is capture the beauty of the Land and shares some of its myths, while
there are many stories that ancient egyptians spoke of, yes its a hollywood mmovie meant to make money if
you look...
First Of this is easily one of if not the best James Bond Film of all...not that previous/others were not good. But
Daniel Craig brought the character that makes Bond 007. It shows the character from and to where and how
he winds up there and action and stunts that only a true 007 is capable of...well in my opinion. Besides the
...
Bad Boys II gives a second look at Detective's Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett. (Martin Lawrence) Two of Miami's finest members of the Tactical Narcotic's Team otherwise known as TNT. The sequel follows the buddy cop duo as they investigate an ecstasy supply ring. The trail of drugs leads them too the many corners of the criminal underw...
Loved the movie. Perhaps the most visually/technologically impressive film I've ever seen. That's taking into account all the Star Wars Films and Avatar. It's that good. This truly is a bold new direction for CG animation. The China Doll girl in particular is astonishing. Sam Raimi did a great job of paying tribute to the original Oz whilst bringin...
This is just another extremely beautiful CGI movie filled to the brim with dull pacing and tons of cliches. You've seen
this movie before, trust me. In fact, I think it's safe to think of Oz the Great and Powerful as Tim Burton's Alice in
Wonderland part II.
I was really surprised how average I found this film to be. I...
I saw the movie this morning and LOVED IT! Well written, terrific effects, and without a doubt the best 3D movie I have seen in a theatre. If you love pop-outs, this movie has it. You will be dodging spears and reaching for little fluff pieces floating out of the screen. By the way, I saw it on an IMAX 3D screen. I highly recommend seeing it t...
The world of Oz is about as synonymous with fantasy as Middle Earth, Hogwarts, and Narnia. Created by L. Frank Baum, it's a place full of magic, whimsy, darkness, and wonder, everything that you need to make a compelling world to draw people in. Over the years, we've had many attempts at bringing the world of Oz to life on film, most notably in the...
Terrible movie. It could be much better if it was about what the taglines said. But the story is extremly stupid, the acting is bad, the effects are even worse, the creatures look like a rubber man, and nothing really happens. Avoid!
The original summer camp slaughter film, this is set at Camp Crystal Lake, where an attempted reopening of the old camp is disrupted by a knife, ax and arrow wielding maniac. Tries to function as a mystery, but as the killer's identity is pretty obvious - the character doesn't even appear until the last 20 minutes - that never comes off; on the oth...
Low-key ghost movie with Scott at his best as a composer who rents a huge old Seattle mansion haunted by the spirit of a crippled child out to avenge his murder. This exudes a genuinely chilly air of supernatural fascination that's well sustained throught despite innumerable plot contrivances and lapses in logic. Well worth viewing though.
Woodward is a perplexed Scottish cop searching for a missing young girl on remote Summerisle Island who comes to fear that she is being prepared as a virgin sacrifice by the pagan islanders who worship the gods of nature.
This much lauded film has great performances and a well-written script by Anthony Shafer but was badly cut and then shelve...
A Hammer film scripted from J. Sheridan Le Fanu's Carmilla about a lesbian vampire (Pitt) preying upon the teen daughters of several 19th-century noblemen. An attractive production of rich colors and design, it contains (now mild) nudity and eroticism that was considered a daring ploy by Hammer back in 1970. Pitt and Cushing (in a small role) are e...
Argento's masterpiece tells of the terror that befalls American ballet student Harper when she attends the celebrated Tanz Akademie at Frieberg, Germany. After several murders, a maggot infestation, and rumors of witchcraft, Jessica discovers that the Akademie is the haven of one Elena Marcus, a legendary witch known as the "Black Queen." From its ...
