A facinating return by director Martin Scorsese to the world of rockumentaries...having pieced together a very revieling side of a very private George Harrison, LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD is a true testiment to what our lives should be focused on (Love, Faith, Peace) and the discarding of personal possesions that poison us. Here is a man who talk...
(some of the following is composed from initial feelings I had when seeing this film with fellow peers at Crest Theater CA-
-which I would then later write down in essay form--though this review it is not everything I feel about this terrific film,
its in the words of King Leonidas from 300; "a good start").
I have all ready seen this movie i downloaded it. It was really bad movie its just a guy running around killing people at a school and the girl follows him because she thinks its cool he kills only people who deserves to die
I watched this movie the day it came out I watched it at my house
I downloaded it & it was an orignal copy & i put it in 1080P HD
there was some good action in the movie just him kicking ass
Saw this film today and even though it is not the original stooges the guys who are it it provide many nyuk nyuks for most Stooge fans. Only the die hard Stoogemaniacs will not like it. Yes there are a few blue jokes/gags in here that Moe and Company would not have done, but this is 2012 and they sort of come with the territory. The story centers a...
Titanic wasn't the first attempt at turning the sinking of the big boat into a theatrical epic, but it's by far the best and will never, ever be bettered. Cameron's minute attention to detail, commitment to realism, and epic vision are light years ahead of the German Propaganda version, a Night to Remember (where the ship sinks whole), the dull Cat...
Drew Goddard and Joss Wheaton’s “Cabin in the Woods” is the biggest surprise of 2012.
No matter how sharp your radar is above your brow it’s likely you won’t see a lot of this film coming. There are
surprises here that will give an eye-raise, scare or chuckle to even the most jaded of viewers. The film clearly is an
even...
Really enjoyed this there's a real chemistry between washington and reynolds, the acting is superb the action is fast paced and i love the the story.Highly recommended.
Having been a huge James Cameron fan since back in the original TERMINATOR days, it has been very pleasing to see his work become respected and not forgotten. Case in point, only Cameron could make a sequal more financially successful than its predacessors (TERMINATOR 2, ALIENS) as well as keep an entranced for a nearly three hours and a half with ...
Disaster flicks are of my favourite movie genres so to some extent I can deal with the wildly inaccurate scientific explanations and events in each movie, however what I cannot stand is blatant stupidity of characters and perhaps repeated offending of logic.
Now, yes, movies like 2012 and the Day After Tomorrow sure make no sense but a...
I enjoyed this movie a lot better than the first Clash of the Titans. Itself a remake of the original (as if people don't
already know).
The movie begins pretty simply, it shows Perseus burying his late wife (formerly played by Gemma Arterton in the
original film). By doing this, the film does not have to explain the pre...
When "Clash Of The Titans" has been brought up in conversation, it's usually only being used as an example of bad post-conversion 3D. For me it was the worst 3D I've ever had in a theater as it was for many. The movie itself has been fading from memory. I haven't seen it since it came out two years ago and aside from it's crappy 3D, I cannot rememb...
I went and saw this movie today and I enjoyed it immensely. The movie was PERFECT, Lily Collins was a PERFECT (and beautiful) Snow White and in my opnion this was the best Snow White movie I have ever seen.
Save your money on this one, or if you must, only watch the first 10 minutes then get the hell out of there. The quieter moments with the sharks taking centre stage are the best but they are, unfortunately, few and far between. The Great White is such a beautiful creature, it is a shame it was wasted here.
The acting is abyssimal (although t...
I don't want to tell you much about it, as I went into with no expectations at all. It was beautifully filmed, and Dafoe did a very good job. You keep watching, not sure where it's going, and the ending/resolution was unexpectedly haunting. Highly recommended, but keep in mind it moves ...
As modern moviegoers we're all familiar with the way tent pole releases play themselves out (at least some of us past
the age of 25). This is not a slam on the quote: younger generation. On the contrary I think they're a lot smarter than
you and I (and you too boomer). Yes sir, what they may lack however is the growing perspective tha...
Great cast. Great story. Great performances. BUT, the most important thing is:
This is the best Blu-ray disc! I've seen no other Blu-ray that uses the format to it's potential like The Dark Knight does.
To the guy above me, Ghostbusters IS a comedy. I never once saw it as a supernatural thriller. What are you? Blind? The whole movie is basically laughs, laughs, and more laughs. Glad you like it, but I have to be honest. It's a comedy, whether you like the fact or not.
"21 Jump Street" is much, much better than I had hoped for; and also much much better than a plethora of national
critics (who don't seem to understand much, if anything about the movie going experience--but seem to place
themselves on a pedestal by relying on tired dictums, illustrations and inappropriate juxtapositioning of similes,...
At the Theater- John Carter - I loved it. It's a bit corny here and there but has enough soaring action, crystal clear spectacle and subtle, "little" touches to firmly separate it from the cold, emotionless Star Wars prequels. The movie rarely feels bloated- It's one of the best constructed and filmed, massive-budgeted, SFX-heavy releases I've seen...
My Wife and I saw it in 3D on Friday evening. It was very entertaining for us. The CGI characters became "real" right away and the steampunk-esq flying machines and battle sequences were really cool. A great villan concept and one was well-portrayed by the actor who played Lord Blackthorn in "Sherlock Holmes". Our only complaint was that there were...
Echoing the above comments... The site reviewer did a terrible job. The move was a very realistic portrayal of the terroristic threats against this country. I agree the acting wasn't the greatest but it's better than half of the Hollywood 'actors'. The acting was good enough. The director did a good job. The story was engrossing and the tactics are...
Not sure what everyone's smoking. John Carter was a huge letdown. Check out my review over at Spoiler Free Movie Sleuth! I mention testicles. Now you HAVE to read it! http://www.spoilerfreemoviesleuth.com/2012/03/cinematic-releases-john-carter.html
Pure action from start to finish. Real troops, real weapons, real action; the way it's supposed to be. But, this isn't Call Of Duty : The Movie; This is real life. Act Of Valor follows a squad of US Navy SEALS (Played by actual troops) as they track and plan to take down a mad terrorist bomber. Act Of Valor gives a fresh reminder of what all of us ...
