Laura is a photographer by profession, she is married to Roland, a doctor, and they have a son. Then Roland dies in a car accident in Africa. After some time Laura is approached by a stranger who asks for help and reveals that her husband has actually been killed. Then realizing that he is being followed, he gives her a negative and flees to be immediately hit by a car. After printing the photo, Laura identifies one of the men portrayed: it is Santos, Portuguese, owner and untouchable since the time of the Salazar dictatorship.
