The release note says "BD-V Playability", and on my player, the new version does seem to have reduced the time taken for startup of intensive BD-Java discs (e. g., the "Skynet Edition" of _T2: Judgment Day_, which used to take almost a half-hour to get to the menu but now does so in seven minutes or so).
