Halloween 4K Blu-ray delivers stunning video and great audio in this enjoyable Blu-ray release
Four decades after escaping his Halloween night murder spree, a haunted Laurie Strode comes face to face once more with the masked psychopath Michael Myers.

Universal and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for the Horror sequel 'Halloween.' The
SteelBook's contents are identical to the two-disc wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section below for more on
the SteelBook itself.
Halloween slashes its way to a fairly handsome SteelBook, though up front it's worth nothing that this reviewer prefers the wide release art
instead, featuring Michael's masked face gazing downward, almost in some state of emotional despair, inner contemplation, or perhaps momentary rest
before the next kill. Either way it's an expressive gaze open to interpretation, an accomplishment considering the face is hidden behind the mask,
which is nicely detailed on
that cover.
The SteelBook is a little more generic yet still attractive, with Michael standing in a wooded area, the camera at nearly ground level pointed upward at
him, the night sky
and bare tree branches surrounding him. The killer stands with a knife at the ready, seemingly gazing at his next victim. The film's title appears in
scratch lettering above, while small blood splatters appear on the case as well. The rear side is much more attractive, featuring a scary-looking carved
pumpkin which is perhaps covering the moon, which offers slight illumination around the pumpkin before giving way to black that covers the remainder
of the rear side, save for some small white studio and legal text at the bottom. The spine maintains the black color and features the film's title in
the same scratch lettering and a Universal logo at the bottom. The case will not show excessive fingerprints.
Inside, the digital copy code is housed under the left-hand side tabs. The Blu-ray and UHD discs are situated on the right, staggered-stacked. The inner
print is a two-panel spread depicting Jame Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode aiming a long revolver. Her face is in focus while the rest of the image is blurry.

While the reviewer prefers the wide release font cover artwork, what appears on this SteelBook is certainly nice looking. The rear side is a standout and
the inner print featuring Laurie with a gun offers a nice contrast to The Shape with a knife on the front. Video and audio presentations on both discs are
excellent and the included extras are well worth any fan's time. Recommended.
