(1969-2019)

"It's Tough Being a Man" is a Japanese film series about the travels and misadventures of a kind-hearted vagabond named Tora-san who is always unlucky in love. The series ran for 48 installments between 1969-1995 all but two were directed by Yamada Yōji, and all starred Atsumi Kiyoshi as Tora-san. The series holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-running movie series starring a single actor. All of the films have been newly remastered in 4k from the original 35mm negatives and include Japanese and English subtitles.
