Hide and Go Shriek(1988)
A group of teenagers spends the night in a furniture store for a graduation party. A psycho killer starts to hunt them down and kill them off. For more about Hide and Go Shriek and the Hide and Go Shriek Blu-ray release, see Hide and Go Shriek Blu-ray Review published by Brian Orndorf on August 12, 2017 where this Blu-ray release scored 3.5 out of 5. Director: Skip Schoolnik Writer: Michael Kelly Starring: Ria Pavia, Sean Kanan, Bunky Jones, Brittain Frye, Annette Sinclair, Scott Fults Producer: Dimitri Villard » See full cast & crew Hide and Go Shriek Blu-ray, Video Quality![]() The AVC encoded image (1.73:1 aspect ratio) presentation is billed as a "Brand new 2K scan of the original InterNeg," giving "Hide and Go Shriek" a chance to replicate its original theatrical look. The effort is already rough around the edges, with some jumpy reel changes, and the viewing experience isn't very comfortable and communicative, offering blurriness that doesn't mesh particularly well with the feature's parade of skin and violence, and facial particulars aren't satisfactory, battling significant cinematographic limitations. "Hide and Go Shriek" mostly takes place in the dark, and delineation survives to the best of its ability, rarely solidifying. Color is also limited, but hues on outfits and location decoration come through as intended. Grain is heavier but filmic. Hide and Go Shriek Blu-ray, Audio Quality![]() The 2.0 DTS-HD MA sound mix is certainly muted a bit by age-related issues. It lacks precision, but it handles adequately, offering intelligible dialogue exchanges that are often challenged by iffy sound recording. Pops are common throughout the listening event. Music isn't dominant, but scoring sets the chiller mood. Sound effects are acceptable. Hide and Go Shriek: Other Editions
