Paramount has widely released a UHD SteelBook packaging variant for the 2024 live action/animated sequel film 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3.' The disc
and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the
'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for
more on the SteelBook's look and feel.
Paramount's glossy SteelBook release for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is quite attractive. The front panel is smooth and features Sonic running
forward against a background of blue lightning bolts against a beige-y white foundation. The rear panel features the same background content but
includes a circle inside of which are Tails and Knuckles, which is slightly offset below the center line. The spine is the same beige-y white color with the
film's title in red and blue colors, center, and a black Paramount logo at the top.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features two distinct images. On the left is a bright, blue background character
collage featuring heroes Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. On the right is a red background character collage featuring Shadow with Ivo and Gerald
Robotnik. Colors are very vivid on these panels.

Paramount has done a fine job with this SteelBook. It's not overly complex but it's colorful and attractive. The film is fun and the UHD is first
rate. Recommended, but fans should also be aware that there is an alternative
SteelBook which is exclusively available through Amazon.
