Great bleak indieI've read quite a few reviews that compare this movie to a mash-up of several other films: The Road and Max Mad among others. I can see some of the similarities but I think expecting the movie to 'feel' like those will just set up a viewer to be disappointed. I felt it was more of a character study with spurts of realistic violence. There isn't a deep story but I did enjoy the movie & I'm happy to have it in my collection. If you need a comparison it felt a little like Road to Paloma mixed with a low budget apocalyptic film. |
