This sounds great, but $99 for just a player?? For this it should also burn. Toast 9 can burn Blu-ray and is the same price.

yeah you can just down load the software at mini nova and get a key generator so then the price would be $0

Sounds fine... but when do we start getting some Linux Blu-Ray software?! You'd think it'd happen by now considering how pro-Linux Sony likes to occasionally make itself out to be...
Rather annoying to have to dual boot to Windows just to play Blu-Ray...

I've tried it out and it seems to work pretty well. Plays Spiderman 3, which caused problems with WinDVD 8. Seems to be pretty stable as well. I wish it had the option to remix the S/PDIF output to DTS for TrueHD soundtracks like PowerDVD.

@ Frumius Boojum : Dude, never heard of Virtualization....? Use VMWare for Linux and you won't have to dual boot.
Simple as that.
Beside, why spending $99 for "just" a player...? That's ridiculous considering that doesn't burn Blu-ray and it was never such a "great software" compared to others like Cyberlink PowerDVD which is BY FAR superior in ALL ASPECTS.
WinDVD is a whole THUMB DOWN for me as it NEVER was, is and will be a program worth of consideration.

Virtualization isn't always as nice as it may seem to be. Besides, if Sony's going to be pro-Linux as far as supporting the install of it on their PS3s, they need to start creating a bit of actual support.

I had download the trial version, but is not working for me; it keep crash every time i open. Anyone has similar problem? I do think is a big rip off for those who has blu-ray drive that don't comes with software that play blu-ray. Probably had to a while before other software support blu-ray.
