Malick's doc 'Voyage of Time' is taking forever to complete - according to imdb it's in post production and rumored for a 2016 release "time" will tell... it's that nature film that comprises of all the alternate takes and additional footage that was shot around the filming of 'Tree of Life'

I just watched the new trailer for Knight of Cups. This looks almost like an updated or alternate universe for The Tree of Life about a man/actor who becomes famous in Hollywood and forgets about his roots and is too caught up in materialism and decadence. It's clearly a morality play from Malick and I like that we have recurring themes of upbringing and adulthood (but this time there aren't any children but rather the past is in his mind). I have no idea what this film will be about but I'm basing all of this on a single viewing of the trailer, which I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE as a film!

I wonder how Peter Greenaway's appreciation, and work, has evolved. He was by far my least favorite art-film director, but I kind of liked ZOO and Draftsman's Contract, kind of. I remember me and all my artist friends, and our girlfriends hating Pillow Book and I gave up on him after that (though Ewen MacGregor's lightsaber was pretty amazing). I read a very spot on scathing overview of his work on some arty website, so I felt at least not alone.

Looking forward to this one, I adored Tree of Life. I can't wait to check it out while everyone is enjoying Madagascar 8 and Transformers 13
