This Week on Blu-ray: September 26-October 2

For the week of September 19th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release Thor: Love and Thunder on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Other new releases include Sound of Metal on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from the Criterion Collection, The Munsters (2022) from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Mayor of Kingstown: Season One from Paramount Home Media Distribution, Preman: Silent Fury from Well Go USA and Bullet Proof from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Catalog titles include 4K UHD upgrades for The War of the Worlds (1953) from Paramount, I Know What You Did Last Summer from Sony Picutres Home Entertainment and In Bruges from Kino Lorber, as well as a Blu-ray for A Fugitive from the Past from Arrow Video.

Kino Lorber have revealed that they are preparing a 4K Blu-ray release of Michael Winner's classic film Death Wish (1974), starring Charles Bronson, Hope Lange, Vincent Gardenia, Steven Keats, and William Redfield. The release is expected to arrive on the market early next year.

Home Entertainment's Elvis (2022) topped the Blu-ray only and overall packaged media charts, pushing Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Minions: The Rise of Gru to second place on both charts. Another new release, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Where the Crawdads Sing, came in third on both charts.
