Decades before blockbuster Extended Cuts were common, Superman proved a true "Man of
Tomorrow." Superman: The Movie received an ahead-of-its-time makeover for its television
premiere - nearly 40 more minutes of story, creating a two-night television event. Audiences had
already been swept off their feet by Christopher Reeve's Last Son of Krypton, and now there was
more to enjoy. Unseen in decades, this version is paired here with Richard Donner's definitive
vision of his film, the Special Edition Director's Cut (2000), to create a supersized celebration of
Metropolis' favorite son that preserves the director's intent while feeding superfan demands.

Something hideous is changing law-abiding citizens into monstrous, hyperviolent psychopaths.
Now, only Kyle MacLachlan (Dune, Twin Peaks) and Michael Nouri (Flashdance) can halt the
terrifying rampage of The Hidden!
A series of bizarre, inexplicable robberies and murders have L.A. police detective Tom Beck
(Nouri) totally baffled. And it doesn't help when mysterious FBI agent Lloyd Gallagher
(MacLachlan) tells him that a demonic extraterrestrial creature is invading the bodies of innocent
victims - and transforming them into inhuman killers with an unearthly fondness for heavy-metal
music, red Ferraris and unspeakable violence!

Seattle! Major finds acceptance in this army, while Liv and Clive investigate the murder of a
zombie family that could trigger an all-out zombie-versus-human apocalypse. Ravi's former boss
investigates the Max Rager massacre, Blaine discovers that living as a human with no memory of
his evil past is totally awesome, and one of Peyton's cases could lead to a nasty villain. After fine
meals of newly deceased brains, Liv assumes the traits of a dominatrix, an extreme stuntman, a
conspiracy theorist, a dungeon master and more in the next 13 deliciously deranged adventures
from the executive producers of Veronica Mars and based upon DC Entertainment's Vertigo
imprint.
October 10:
NEW 2017 4K Scan from original nitrate elements. Restored to its original theatrical length for
the first time in over 75 years!
THE SEA WOLF (1941)
100:00
DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0 - English; English SDH ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIO - 1.37:1, 4 X 3
FULL FRAME BLACK & WHITE BD 50 Special Features: Screen Directors Playhouse
broadcast of 2/3/1950 featuring Edward G. Robinson and Michael Curtiz; Theatrical Trailer
(HD)
Jack London's novel The Sea Wolf had it all: action, mystery and widespread popularity. But
Jack Warner, claiming the title was too similar to the studio's The Sea Hawk, wanted to give the
1941 film version something else: a new name. Producer Henry Blanke resisted, saying it would
be "a detriment to the box office...(like changing) Gone With the Wind to Molly From the
South." As film fans know, Molly stayed in the South and the haunting nautical adventure took a
big bite out of the box office, becoming one of the top moneymakers of 1940-41.
Edward G. Robinson and a superb cast are the hands on deck for this voyage into nightmare.
Robinson is Captain Wolf Larsen, a hell-bent seadog who ranks with Moby Dick's Ahab and
Mutiny on the Bounty's Captain Bligh. Doom is the mad seafarer's fog-shrouded port of call...and
he intends to take a roughneck recruit (John Garfield), two castaways (Ida Lupino and Alexander
Knox) and his crew (including Gene Lockhart and Barry Fitzgerald) with him. Adventure - and
eerie suspense - ahoy! The Sea Wolf was such a box-office hit that it was given a national
theatrical reissue in 1947, but to do so, the film was cut to a length of 86 minutes, and remained
that length for 70 years. Long thought to exist only in substandard form, Warner Bros. is proud to
present this film as first released in 1941, restoring its original 100-minute running time from
35mm nitrate elements.
NEW 2017 1080p HD MASTER!
THE GREEN SLIME (1968)
90:00
DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0 - English; English SDH ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIO - 2.35:1, 16 X
9 LETTERBOX COLOR BD 25 Special Feature: Theatrical Trailer (HD)
After a perilous mission to a huge asteroid, a crew returns to its space station, unaware that a bit
of ooze from the asteroid clings to a crewman's uniform. The green goop grows - into murderous,
tentacled monsters. And as station members fight to live, gunk from the monsters' wounds turns
into more monsters! That's the story. Now enjoy as our heroes fight to preserve Earth and,
unintentionally, our own senses of humor with a movie that Kevin Thomas of the Los Angeles
Times called "one of the funniest made-in-Japan sci-fi monster movies ever." Kinji Fukasaku,
whose later work was championed by Quentin Tarantino, directs. The world would be a far more
bleak and joyless place without marvels like The Green Slime.
THE LEFTOVERS: THE THIRD AND FINAL SEASON (2017) (audio specs updated)
475:00
DTS HD-Master Audio 5.1 - English; English SDH
16 X 9 WIDESCREEN, ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIO - 1.78:1 COLOR BD 50
In an instant, 140 million people vanished from the face of the earth. The cause of that incredible
event remains unknown, and there is no indication that those who are gone will ever be seen or
heard from again. THE LEFTOVERS follows the lives that were forever changed by the event
that shook the world on October 14. In the third season, the Garvey and Murphy families come
together as they desperately grasp for a system of belief to better explain what defies explanation.
The world is crackling with the energy of something big about to happen, a corresponding
bookend to the Sudden Departure that sent them all spinning years earlier, bringing their journey
Down Under.
October 24:
NEW 2017 1080p HD MASTER!
NIGHT SCHOOL (1981)
Run Time 89:00
DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0 - English; English SDH ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIO - 1.78:1, 16 X
9 WIDESCREEN COLOR BD 25 Special Feature: Theatrical Trailer (HD)
They work by day, take a full schedule of classes all night and somehow find time for study and
an occasional date. Women in the evening curriculum at Boston's distinguished Wendell College
do a lot to get ahead in life. But there's someone who will go to even greater lengths. Someone
who will do anything to get a head.
A killer whose m.o. is the ritualistic decapitation of victims makes terror a required course at
Night School, directed by Kenneth Hughes (Casino Royale 1967) and starring Rachel Ward (The
Thorn Birds; After Dark, My Sweet) in her screen debut. Leonard Mann plays the homicide
lieutenant assigned to the puzzling case. He has hunches, not clues. Suspects, not evidence. And
a rising body count. Finals are coming early this year at Wendell. And for those who don't make
the grade, heads will roll.
NEW 2017 4K Scan from the original camera negative. First-ever Home Entertainment release in
any format!
HELL ON FRISCO BAY (1955)
Run Time 98:00
DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0 - English; English SDH ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIO - 2.55:1, 16 X
9 LETTERBOX COLOR BD 50 Special Feature: Theatrical Trailer (HD)
Screen icon Alan Ladd produces and stars in this crime spectacle, shot on location in noir central
- San Francisco. Steve Rollins (Ladd) is both ex-cop and ex-con, recently sprung from the stir.
Spurning both love (Joanne Dru, as a songstress spouse who strayed) and friendship (William
Demarest as his ex-police partner), Steve has one singular quest: Kill whoever set him up for
murder, or die trying. Blending adult drama, detective story and noir, Hell on Frisco Bay is a
cinema stew that's heavy on the savor and the flavor, thanks to its colorful CinemaScope and a
top-notch supporting ensemble. Heading that ensemble is Edward G. Robinson, delivering one of
his most unforgettable mobsters, the utterly repulsive and remorseless Vic Amato. Fay Wray
nearly steals the show as a faded screen queen, while Paul Stewart serves up one of his finest
performances as Joe Lye, Amato's hired killer with a conscience.
October 31:
NEW 2017 1080p HD MASTER!
SCARECROW (1973)
Run Time 112:00
DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0 - English; English SDH ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIO - 2.40:1, 16 X
9 LETTERBOX COLOR BD 50 Special Features: Vintage Featurette On the Road with
Scarecrow; Theatrical Trailer (HD)
Just out of jail after serving time on an assault rap, Max (Gene Hackman) is headed for
Pittsburgh to open a deluxe car wash. Back from five years at sea, Lion (Al Pacino) wants to hit
Detroit and visit the child he's never seen. The dreams may not be glorious but you'll want Max
and Lion to fulfill them, because Scarecrow, cowinner of the 1973 Cannes Film Festival Grand
Prize, has a heart as big as its cross-country journey. Its hard-luck drifters drift permanently into
our souls. This is due to teamwork of a high order: The moving performances of Hackman and
Pacino, the sensitive direction of Jerry Schatzberg and the glowing landscape cinematography of
Vilmos Zsigmond. Hit the road with these two. You'll find the trip unforgettable.

I'm going broke this month. Every title on here is a must have! Night School was one of those movies my dad recorded off of TV in the 1980's. I think we wore that VHS out, to the point the s sounds made an unbearable hissing noise. I haven't seen the Superman TV cut since the mid 1990's, and to finally have it on blu is a dream come true.
Still holding out for Val Lewton, Errol Flynn, and more Warner Gangster and WB/RKO musical titles. Bullets or Ballots, and the Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire films need blu releases.

WOW. 4 the first time ever, 'SUPERMAN' PART 1- the tv extended cut has finally been recorded on blu-ray. also 4 the first time ever, this version will be shown in widescreen. if this really is the entire exact 3 hour version containing all 45 minutes of previously edited footage, i will definately get this. i have this on a bootleg d.v.d but i will keep it because of the full-screen format. this version was previously released on 'K.C.O.P' channel 13 back in the mid-1980's, [1994]. this is the what is known as the 'SALKIND INTERNATIONAL CUT'. now we can finally see and hear this version 4 the first time ever in high definition. how-ever, there's 1 big problem. why did they put the 8 minute longer cut on here when it was already released on d.v.d and blu-ray? why did they not put the 'RESTORED INTERNATIONAL CUT' of 'SUPERMAN' part 2 on here? why be smart 1 way and be dumb the other? i don't get it.

I guess you meant why include the 150 minute Superman cut. Yeah, I have no use for that either, now that the far superior 188 minute cut will be available. As for Superman II Extended Version, I think only those who like Richard Lester's Superman II would want it. I'll stick with the Richard Donner Cut.

Re: Superman. Is the so-called "special edition director's cut" in this package the same as the so-called "expanded edition" released by Warner earlier? Their run times seem to suggest so, but I'm not 100% sure.
I think the proliferation of terms as "special edition", "expanded edition", "extended edition". "restored cut", "director's cut", "definitive cut", and any combinatorial usage of aforementioned terms have gotten absolutely out of control.

yes it is. it is the 8 minute longer cut. i have 'superman part 2: the restored international cut' containing all 24 minutes of edited footage on a boot-leg d.v.d. 'a.b.c' only showed 17 of the 24 minutes back in the mid 1980's [1984]. just wished they had put this with the 'superman salkind international cut' blu-ray.
