Oh great, Lionsgate... Yet another fantastic film that be a region-locked Blu-ray I can't import. Why isn't this a Paramount release? They were the original distributors when it came out, damnit.
If ever a film required a lossless original audio sound mix, The Conversation is it. The DVD that was released a few years back had a decent image quality, but let's hope that this get's a new 2K or better transfer. (Coppola approved)
John Cazale only appeared in 6 movies and all of them were nominated for best picture, godfather , conversation, godfather part 2, dog day afternoon, deer hunter and godfather 3 (archive footage)
@_ck: What region is your BD player? If you're in a Region B country you'll hopefully be pleased to hear that the UK will more than likely be receiving a BD release of The Conversation this Autumn (distributed by Optimum/Studio Canal). I would expect the contents of the UK BD to exactly match the US BD (as was the case with Apocalypse Now).
Germany -- i.e. another Region B option -- should also getting a BD release of The Conversation later this year, AFAIK?
Also bear in mind what Dwigt mentioned, regarding the region status of the Lionsgate BD of Apocalypse Now.
