I used to love Heroes but it just got worse season after season. I have the first 3 seasons on Blu. Love the first 2 but only was disappointed overall by season 3 and 4 was even worse. Kring and co just din't know how to build on that great first season. By the end it looked really cheap as the fx budget had been cut severley due to declining ratings.
This season four just wasn't as good as the three previous seasons, and the numbers reflected it: Eighteeen million viewers for season 1 - Four million viewers for season 4. That's bad =(
I actually thought season 4 was a vast improvment over season 3, To me at least it seemed like Heroes had found it's footing again by the middle of season 4, shame NBC didn't see it that way and cancelled it. Season 5 could have been great, hopefully these rumoured "wrap-up" movies or miniseries actually happen and we get some epilogue after the great season 4 finale
I don't own any of the seasons on blu but now that the show is over i might consider picking them up...well, maybe not season 2 as I already have enough coasters in my house, but the other 3 seasons for sure
WOW $72, NO WAY will I ever pay that much for this crap! The only good season was season 1, then they lost whatever they had. I for one am glad they were cancled as it seems the writers could not fix what they had broken. Too bad too because the show had such potential...
The price will com down. i actually pre-ordered this a month ago on AMazon and have the price of $55 dollars. It will continue to drop don't worry. Just price track it.
I actually rather liked the series overall and thought season 4 (especially the latter half) was an improvement over season 3 and a huge improvement over season 2. Season 1 is still the best by far for this show. Universal will have to release a single box set of the complete series on blu at an attractive price before I buy.
What do we have to do to get Universal to start to release some quality movies or the rest of the movies they did release on hd-dvd so we bd owners can have those movies also. ?
i ordered the 1-4 season preorder fron the UK (18 disc ) was only like £66.90 thats inc shipping...so like $100 for the 4 seasons...i can handle that!!!
I never got involved with this show in the first place, because I thought its prenmise was kind of stupid. And ironically, I'm a big fan of super hero movies.
