@TheManInBlu: I beg to differ. This was probably one of my favorite Stallone movies, and I thought that Daylight was one of his better films in recent years. The action was good and the story was very gripping as well.

As for me, looks like it's about time to finally retire the DVD. Day one purchase for me!!

Stallone sure has made some shit movies. Rocky, Rocky II, The Lords of Flatbush, Copland--good movies, but not much to show for a 40 year career.

Good disaster movie; similar to "The Poseidon Adventure" in many ways. A must-own for Barry "Vanishing Point" Newman completists. But poor Viggo Mortensen doesn't get a lot of screen-time.

I've always thought DAYLIGHT was a great Stallone movie ever since I first saw it in the movie theater. I don't know why some people give it so much grief. It was suspenseful, gripping, and exciting. I definitely hope to see COBRA on Blu Ray soon but I think I wanted a DAYLIGHT Blu even more.

Yeah, and what about that hack of a character John Rambo?? Clearly nothing memorable about THAT guy.

I don't care about the movie, but the big deal is Universal releasing its HD DVD titles on BD. Daylight today, maybe The Sting & The Deer Hunter tomorrow...

I remember being annoyed by the hypothermia thing. You get cold and fall asleep??

Hypothermia has unusual psychological effects, the main one being *you don't care* and *leave me alone* syndromes. You do fall asleep eventually, but there would warning signs.

I know it's Hollywood, but I hate misinformation, ESPECIALLY, when two simple lines would have fixed the problem and actually educated (I know it's a Stallone movie too!!! ) people about hypothermia.

Dantes peak is out in australia.. It looks fantastic! And sounds brilliant.

I am looking forward to Daylight. It's a favorite of mine. Ive hated having to wait so long for Daylight. This and 'burbs needs to be out already!!

Daylight is almost TV-grade, but in a way it serves the film to not have so many stars (viggo mortensen wasnt a star yet) because the people feel real and Sly seems like a larger than life hero - even more than a film like Cliffhanger (with its more-known cast). And the scenario elevates the picture.
