I applied this firmaware and still cannot play new blu-ray movies like Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Spiderman-2 etc. Contacted LG and they are aware of the issue.
I am having the same problem. I rented Spiderman 1 Blu Ray from Netflix. All I could get was the menu with no capacity to play the movie or move to other menu features. Is this the same issue you are have vravi? If so, what more have you heard? I cannot get through to LG customer service due to heavy call volume.
Good news. The latest firmware from LG updated the player correctly. I had made the DVD with Toshiba's Sonic program and the player kicked it out. I used another program that a guy recommended in a blog, made a new disc and it worked. All new Blu Ray DVDs play correctly.
i have updated the firmware 4 times, the last being sent to me by LG last week, still i cant get any sound from the new Rambo, The Mummy or The Bank Job, LG say they are sending a new update this week, if i evere get this from them i will keep you updated on the progress,
i only had to update my lg bh 100 multi blu ray player only once when i called the lg company when i wanted to view the journey to the center of the earth in 3d. and it worked perfectly with all my other blu ray's and hd dvd titles.. so a tip to all you guys , just call them and they will send you a firmware update disc within a week ......
the firmware update for the bh100 does not work. i got 3 disc sent to me from LG and they did not work. Lg wanted me to send my bh100 in along with $80. i took the money and purchased a sony. since i had nothing to lose, i tried the update for the BH200 and it WORKED GREAT. Updated just yesterday 1/12/09. not only can i view all of the new movies, 7.1 dts and network updates work too. that's right, i can now download directly through the once useless lan connection on the back of the unit.....
Handawg, do you have any screenshots you could post of any menu changes this might have done?

Just checked due to some blu-rays loading slow and LG has new firmware update: 090121a. haven't installed it yet and no word as to what is changed but hopefully more functionality as I still have some 100 HD titles I want to keep until all have been released in BR and this player plays BR region free and just found coding examples on how to make region free for standard dvds as well
a tip for anyone who has the new movie avatar on blu ray. for those that have an Lg bh100 super multi blue player. it wont play the movie at all. it will freeze after it recognized what type of format it is. which is a blu ray. after that you will have to call lg so they can send a firmware update Cd, a problem with this is that the firmware update 100329 update , is that once installed it will play the avatar movie and it will look and sound well. except for chapter 31 through 33 . the audio will go out of sync and a chapter of the title you are viewing will appear. when you try and play other titles on blu ray it might not even play them at all because of the new firmware . Ive called to have them send me my third firmware update hopefully this one will work ... will keep you all updated on this issue ..
From Norbert75, I've the same problem with Avatar , i've just bought in France. I will check for the other BD discs I have . Also will keep you informed.
