Fox Announces Meet the Spartans Blu-ray

Fox Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the comedy spoof 'Meet the Spartans' to Blu-ray on June 3rd, day-and-date with the DVD release. The film, which is brought to you by the same people who brought you 'Date Movie' and 'Epic Movie', will be presented in its unrated form on a BD-25. Video will be presented using 1080p AVC and be accompanied by a 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio track. Extras include audio commentary with the cast and crew, "Know Your Spartans Pop Culture" trivia game, gag reel, two featurettes ("Meet the Spartans: The Music" and "Prepare for Thrusting"), a tour of the set with Ike Barinholtz, and theatrical trailers.

I know it's a day-and-date release, but damn, this movie was TERRIBLE! I'd rather buy it and get a blank BD-R inside!

Epic Movie has to be one of the worst (if not THE worst) films I've ever seen (yes I managed to sit through the entire film) and I've heard this is even worse!! Why release this garbage when they could do a catalogue title that people want?

All of these recent spoofs are just plain terrible and to put them out on Blu-ray is just a waste of good technology.

This movie is unwatchable!!! It's only about 68 minutes long with 15 minutes of credits/deleted scenes.

I am mortified to admit that I am an extra in this wretched excuse for a film-- but I DID get paid and I DID cash the check!!

With a raft full of films needing a Blu-Ray release (like, say, today's dvd-release "Sweeney Todd"), for this piece of dung to get the BR treatment is appalling!!!
I guess the ps3 set needs some more toys!

I had to screen this. If I wasn't being paid and had to sit there I would have walked out.
At least Epic movie was tolerable, this is just total crap.
PLEASE hire ACTORS next time, not look-alikes.
You know, people who can ACT and have things like comedic timing.

I like dumb movies too.....but this was unbearable! My husband and I could only watch 10 min. the we turned it off. Bluray shouldnt waste their time on this crap load of a film.
