That was pretty quick to get dated. Nice. I've seen this many a time on DVD and later Blu-ray, so I'm actually pretty excited to see it in 4K.

Was kind of hoping this would get an Atmos track, but I know that the old track was no slouch either. Glad to buy this on day one.

@TheArgentinian Tommy Lee Jones is in the 2nd Volcano movie ("Volcano"), this one is with Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton. I enjoy both disaster movies and will be getting "Dante's Peak" on 4K UHD! Hopefully "Volcano" may get a 4K UHD release some day too.

Funny how movies like this they don't even get Atmos. But films that are completely under the radar get Atmos.. Smh, jus think of hearing Volcano ash & rocks coming from the sky in Atmos. Eventhough, the Blu disc sound is good. Atmos would hav been better.
Ok, now list release date for Volcano!!

007 and Sarah Connor putting it all on the line for the pitiful sake of Bea Ventnor? Day one!

Funny enough, the 1997 volcano movie that actually has “volcano” in its title—that would be ‘Volcano’— unlike ‘Dante’s Peak’, doesn’t actually feature a volcano! The natural disaster in that flick is in fact a caldera. Doesn’t make for as exciting a poster I guess…

Volcano was a pretty silly actioner. Dante's Peak took itself seriously. Better acting. A couple of stupid moments - like Liz Hoffman's Ruth deliberately crawling into a lake of acid to drag a leaky boat to a port most of the more agile cast could have actually jumped from onto dry land for safety. But Dante's Peak holds up. Hope the 4K doesn't expose the SFX. Even the Blu was pretty revealing about the miniatures used to recreate the town after Dante blew its top.

Dante's Peak is a very good film, Volcano is an entertainment popcorn film. Both are different and enjoyable.

Volcano? Really. Effects were so phoney and TLJ just played himself. A very mixed up story line too. It would be one of the last movies I would want on 4K. Now Dante's Peak. That should be worthwhile although I'll wait for the reviews before putting my money down.

I'm excited about this release, disappointed they didn't even give it 5.1 DTS-HD audio, let alone Atmos. Not sure I want to pay $35 for just an improved picture. It better be immaculate. Atmos would have been awesome for this.

Very glad to see this as a combo with a regular Blu-ray that will also sport the new transfer. Will be glad to see screenshots and reviews when this releases, so I can compare with the older discs and decide whether to pick it up.
