The Cinema Guild Acquires Agnes Varda From Here To There

The Cinema Guild announced today the acquisition of Digital and Non-Theatrical U.S. rights to Agnes Varda From Here To There, a new five-part documentary series directed by Agnes Varda. The deal was negotiated by Ryan Krivoshey of The Cinema Guild and Cecilia Rose of Cine-Tamaris. Comprised of five episodes, each 45 minutes in length, Agnes Varda From Here To There (2011, 225 minutes) chronicles Varda's travels around the world as she surveys the global contemporary art scene, meeting with artists and filmmakers from all walks of life. Whether in Los Angeles or St. Petersburg, Lisbon or Mexico, the indefatigable and ever-curious director talks with Alexander Sokurov, shares a meal with sculptor Christian Boltanski and his partner artist Annette Messager, visits with Chris Marker at his home shortly before he passed away, and dances with Manoel de Oliveira.
