I am a devoted fan of his (Interiors and Manhattan are on my all-time top 100), but I honestly believe this is Allen's worst film. It is so strained and so very charmless. Colin Firth falls flat under such a despicable, leaden, grotesquely verbose character, and he rather predictably has no chemistry with Emma Stone.

I am also a long time fan and defender of the Woodman. This film was decent. Not top tier Woody, but in the B category.

Saw this in theaters and was swayed by its reproduction of a hollywood era that has since gone by. This film does nothing new. It simply reminds me of the films my parents grew up watching, and for that it was a breath of fresh air from the heavy blockbuster movies that dominate the screen. I'll be picking it up.

Like all Woody Allen films, I will see it one day, won't be paying full price this time around like I did for Blue Jasmine though.

A good film. Very light but it does what it intends to do and that's entertain.

Light, breezy fun. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. Nothing groundbreaking, but entertaining.

the story was wretched and utterly predictable - this is 'basement' Allen - a bellyflop after his great 'Blue Jasmine' - what the hell happened?
